Designs to overcome a downturn
When times are tough and revenues are falling there may be a temptation for business to cut ‘discretionary’ budgets - money allocated to activities such as design, perhaps. Steve Ouditt's class was very interesting today. He gave us our course outline and seeked to reassure us that the intellectual words used in the outline was for University purposes. His mission i believe is to lead us not only to Design "things" that people think they need to help make their life easier but to Design IDEAS which will make not only a few individuals afford this "thing" but by Designing Ideas the world will be a better place. Interesting. So therefore the traditional and customary thinking habits have changed to accomodate a new era of modernday inventors of possible IDEAS that could positively change life. We are expected to produce a document based on our third year project and we have to make 12 entries on anything that captures our Design intellect. An intersting session cant wait on the other one
